Kynren Pyromusical Fireworks Return to County Durham this Halloween

County Durham's night sky will light up this Halloween as the Kynren Pyromusical returns for 2026. The spectacular is back for its eighth year on Saturday 31 October, staged on the vast open-air site at Bishop Auckland that is home to the summer Kynren show.

Billed as the North East's biggest pyromusical, it is a 25-minute display of fireworks choreographed to music, set against the wide countryside backdrop of the Kynren arena and reflected in the water in front of the stands. It runs as an added attraction just as the main Kynren season draws to a close after a bigger-than-ever summer, giving families one more reason to head to the site before the year is out.

The Pyromusical has sold out in previous years, so booking ahead is wise: some 8,000 people watch each display. Tickets are £13 for adults and £10 for under-18s, with VIP seating at £16 and £13, plus a £1 booking fee per ticket. A shuttle bus runs from Bishop Auckland Market Place at £3 per person return and must be pre-booked, and accessibility seating is arranged through the box office.
