About Durham Christmas Trees
Durham Christmas Trees grows its own trees at Heugh Hall Farm near Bowburn, a short drive south-east of the city off the A1(M). Visitors can walk the plantation and choose a growing Norway spruce or Nordmann fir to be cut, or pick from freshly cut Nordmann firs displayed under shelter, and tree stands are sold on site.
The farm opens on selected weekends from late November into December, with refreshments, a festive trail for children and dogs welcome on a lead; in 2025 it opened on Saturday 22 November and then Friday to Sunday, 10.30am to 3.30pm. Delivery is offered locally, and the website lists each season's dates once confirmed.
