Durham Community Action

About Durham Community Action

Durham Community Action is a County Durham charity that supports communities and the voluntary sector across the county. Among its main services is volunteering: it helps people new to volunteering find roles that suit them and supports organisations that take volunteers on, and it has held Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation.

It runs the County Durham Volunteering website, where volunteers can register and search opportunities by type and by location, including Durham City and roles that can be done from home. For anyone in Durham who wants to volunteer but is not sure where to start, it is the most useful single place to browse what is available.
