Durham University One-to-One Tutoring
Free one-to-one tutoring for local GCSE and A-level students from volunteer Durham University students, in person at Elvet Riverside or online.
About Durham University One-to-One Tutoring
One-to-One Tutoring is a free scheme run by Durham University Student Volunteering and Outreach, pairing local GCSE and A-level students with current Durham University students who volunteer as tutors. Sessions take place in person at Elvet Riverside on New Elvet, and online sessions can be arranged with the tutor.
All volunteer tutors are DBS checked and have completed child safeguarding, adult safeguarding and social media policy training. Tutors teach the subjects they are most qualified in, and because this is a voluntary service a tutor in the requested subject cannot be guaranteed. Families apply through the scheme's online request form.
