About Durham Women FC

Durham Women FC is the city's flagship football club, competing in the FA Women's Championship, the second tier of the women's game in England. Founded in 2014 through a partnership between Durham University and the South Durham & Cestria girls' set-up, the club has become an established force in the women's pyramid and a genuine point of pride for the city, playing its home fixtures at Maiden Castle on Stockton Road.

Matchdays are affordable, welcoming and family-friendly, making them a great low-cost day out and a chance to watch high-level football on the doorstep. The club also runs Emerging Talent Centres for younger age groups across the North East. Check the club website for fixtures and tickets.
