About Simply Sport
Simply Sport is a County Durham sports-coaching company that has run PE and extracurricular clubs in local primary schools for over two decades, working with schools across the county. Its coaches deliver breakfast and after-school clubs on school sites, giving primary-age children an active, structured session either side of the school day, all under formal safeguarding and risk-assessment policies with DBS-checked staff. Because the term-time clubs run on school premises, availability depends on which school a child attends, so it is worth asking the school office whether Simply Sport already delivers there.
During the school holidays the company runs its own clubs at New Ferens Park in Belmont, on the eastern edge of the city, mixing football, multi-sports and active games for children aged roughly four to twelve. The clubs give working parents a reliable option through the longer breaks, with affordable day rates that suit an occasional day or a full week, and the company accepts the council's Fun and Food HAF vouchers for eligible families. Places are booked ahead of each holiday through the Simply Sport website, where dates and prices are published.
