The South Causey Inn sits in 100 acres of scenic countryside near Stanley, to the north of Durham, and has grown into one of the region's best-known dedicated wedding venues. It offers four individually designed on-site venues, from a characterful barn to elegant suites such as the Durham and Tanfield Suite, so it can host ceremonies and receptions of all sizes, with plenty of free parking, grounds for photographs and on-site accommodation including quirky rooms and hot tubs.

Beyond weddings it works as a country inn, hotel and restaurant with its own dining pods, but its reputation rests on the flexibility and setting it brings to a country wedding. It is a short drive from Durham city and well placed for the wider north of the county. Wedding dates and packages book up well ahead, so early enquiry is sensible.
