St Cuthbert's Hospice
Local hospice on Park House Road caring for people with life-limiting illnesses, supported by a large team of volunteers.
About St Cuthbert's Hospice
St Cuthbert's Hospice provides specialist care for people in Durham and the surrounding area living with life-limiting illnesses, from its site on Park House Road in the west of the city. As a local charity it relies heavily on fundraising, its network of charity shops and the time given by volunteers.
Volunteers help across the organisation, in roles ranging from kitchen and laundry assistants and gardeners for its award-winning grounds to administration, lottery support, retail and driving. Shop roles are open to those aged 13 and over, while clinical areas require volunteers to be over 18. Anyone interested can register through the volunteering page on its website.
