Requiem Eucharist for All Souls' Day
A sung Requiem service at Durham Cathedral remembering all who have died, with Duruflé's Requiem. Everyone is welcome to attend.
About This Event
Durham Cathedral marks All Souls' Day with a Requiem Eucharist remembering all those who have died in the faith. The music is Duruflé's Requiem, sung by the Durham Cathedral Consort of Singers and Scholars together with the Chapel Choir of St John's College, Durham. The Dean presides and the Reverend Dr Daniel Parkinson preaches. Before the service, anyone can write the names of loved ones on prayer slips, which are laid quietly on the altar during the Eucharist. The service is open to all.
