Family Activities: Bowl of Wonders at the Oriental Museum
Free drop-in family session at the Oriental Museum: see a 2,500-year-old Persian silver bowl, then try metal embossing to make your own patterns.
About This Event
Families can take a look at a silver bowl made by the ancient Persians around 2,500 years ago, then have a go at metal embossing to create patterns of their own. The session is part of the Oriental Museum's free family programme, which draws on objects in the galleries. It is drop-in with no need to book, and is best suited to children aged 5 to 11. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
