Chorister Experience Day at Durham Cathedral
A free afternoon for primary-age children to meet the Cathedral Choristers, sing together and see behind the scenes, ending at Evensong.
About This Event
Children in school years 2 to 6 can spend an afternoon finding out what it is like to be a Durham Cathedral chorister. The day includes meeting the current choristers and hearing them sing, a choir practice, a tour of the Cathedral, organ playing, craft activities and a snack break, finishing with Evensong at 5:30pm. No singing experience is needed and children are asked to wear school uniform. Parents and guardians follow a separate programme alongside. The day is free, but places must be booked through the Cathedral's registration form.
