About This Event

Durham Folk Festival takes place from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026, its first year in Durham city after a decade in Hartlepool. Based at Redhills, the Durham Miners' Hall, the festival spreads across the city with venues including Durham Town Hall, the Gala theatre, the Cathedral precinct, Fellows' Garden and musical river cruises on the Wear. The programme features more than 100 performances and events, from headline concerts and traditional music sessions to ceilidhs, workshops, talks, film screenings and free family activities. Tickets range from around £5 for individual events up to full weekend passes; booking is via the festival's ticket page.
