19th Durham (Neville's Cross) Scout Group
Scout group serving Neville's Cross and the west of Durham, meeting at Nelson Hall behind St John's Church, with sections for younger children through to teenagers.
About 19th Durham (Neville's Cross) Scout Group
19th Durham (Neville's Cross) Scout Group is part of Durham City Scouts and serves the Neville's Cross area on the western side of the city. The group meets at Nelson Hall, behind St John's Church on Neville's Cross Bank, and runs sections spanning the younger age groups through to Scouts, with a weekly programme of games, crafts, badge work, camps and outdoor activities designed to build confidence and friendships.
The group is run by volunteers and, like others in the district, keeps subscriptions affordable and offers help with costs where it is needed. Popular sections can carry waiting lists, so early registration through Durham City Scouts or the national Scouts join page is advisable. Adult volunteers are always needed, with full training provided, and taking on a helping role is one of the most direct ways to secure and expand places for local children.
