About Chapters Tea Rooms

Chapters Tea Rooms occupies a Grade II listed building on Elvet Bridge, with seating spread over two floors for around 100 people. It is an independent tea room and coffee house serving breakfast, lunch, home-made scones, cakes, fresh sandwiches, salads and hand-pressed burgers. Coffee is sourced from a specialist Italian roaster and the menu extends to Belgian hot chocolate.

Afternoon tea is a signature offering, typically including two types of sandwich, two fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, and a choice of cake, served with tea or coffee. Bookings are not required but the tea rooms can get busy, so reservations by phone are advised at peak times. Its central Elvet Bridge position puts it close to the market place and the river.
