About The Grey Horse
The Grey Horse on Sherburn Terrace in Consett dates from 1848 and is home to the Consett Ale Works brewery, which brews at the rear of the pub. It serves the brewery's own beers alongside guest ales and is close to the C2C cycle route.
The pub holds beer festivals twice a year, including one in August, with an extended line-up of guest ales. It is open from 4pm to 10.30pm Monday to Wednesday and from noon to 11pm Thursday to Sunday; check its website or social media for festival dates.
