About Station House

Station House is a distinctive wedge-shaped pub set into the old waiting room beside Durham's railway viaduct, opened in 2015 by CAMRA members. It takes a back-to-basics approach built around good beer, good cider and good conversation, with an ever-changing range served from the cellar hatch by friendly staff, and no music or big screens to compete with the chatter.

The pub hosts a regular quiz that has been reported on Monday evenings, with a small entry fee and a cash prize, and has also run a monthly quiz upstairs. As with most Durham quizzes the frequency has moved between weekly and fortnightly, so confirm the next date with the pub before turning up with a team.
