The Nook
A 100% vegan and gluten-free bakery stall inside Durham Market Hall, offering sweet and savoury bakes made on site and catering for coeliac and other dietary needs.
About The Nook
The Nook is a fully vegan and gluten-free bakery trading from a unit inside Durham Market Hall, on the far left wall of the hall. It grew out of The Mann's Vegan Scran and bakes everything on site, with a rotating selection of sweet and savoury items and an effort to keep soya use low where possible. Because the kitchen handles no gluten, the stall is suitable for customers with coeliac disease.
Alongside the counter, the stall offers custom orders including celebration cakes, afternoon tea boxes and event catering, and has a small seating area that can be booked for afternoon tea. It trades during the Market Hall's usual opening hours in the centre of Durham, a short walk from the Market Place and the city's main shopping streets.
