Treats Café & Tea Room
Long-running family-run cafe and tea room on Silver Street, trading since 1984, serving all-day breakfast and brunch, lunch, cakes and traditional afternoon tea.
About Treats Café & Tea Room
Treats is an independent, family-run cafe and tea room on Silver Street, one of Durham's oldest and narrowest cobbled streets. It has been trading since 1984 and describes itself as serving good food at good prices, with breakfast and brunch available all day alongside lunches, scones, cakes and traditional British afternoon tea. Food is prepared fresh daily, and the menu covers vegetarian and vegan choices as well as gluten-free options.
The venue takes table bookings, sells gift vouchers and offers evening venue hire for private events. It is a consistently well-rated fixture in Durham's cafe scene and appears across the main tourism and review platforms. Opening hours run through the week, with earlier Saturday opening from 8am.
