About Durham City Cricket Club

Durham City Cricket Club plays at Green Lane, a ground at the end of Old Elvet in the centre of the city, with the cathedral visible beyond the boundary. The club runs several senior men's XIs and a women's 1st XI, competing in the Durham Cricket League and related women's competitions, and it fields sides throughout the season. The ground has a clubhouse and bar, changing rooms and practice nets.

Alongside the senior teams, the club operates a large junior section spanning age groups from under 9s upwards, including boys', girls' and mixed teams and softball groups for younger players. Membership is open to all ages and abilities, and the club's stated aim is to give people across Durham and the surrounding area the chance to play and enjoy cricket.
