About Durham City Rugby Club
Durham City Rugby Football Club was founded in 1872 and plays at Hollow Drift on Green Lane, beside the Racecourse and the River Wear a short walk from Elvet Bridge. The club runs senior and junior rugby and has a members' bar that welcomes visitors on match days.
The clubhouse is also the home of the Durham Beer Festival, organised each September by the Durham branch of CAMRA, which has been held here for its last six editions and features dozens of real ales, ciders and perries.
